I have had this machine for about 1.5 years and it will not drain and turns off. My model is PFQ97HSPV0DS.
After troubleshooting this issue here is the order in which you should test to see what the issue could be:
- Check to see if the drain hose is clogged.
- Go here for help on disassembling down to the drain pump: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByQ6zwpuQQA
- Snake your drain hose then run some water through
- While you are near the drain pump disconnect the power cable and test the pump to verify it is 20 ohms on a multimeter
- More Schematic/Wiring and Error code information can be found at the bottom of this page
- Replace the pump if not 20 ohms
- Part #WH11X29539 – Drain Pump and Filter
- Run a drain test from the service menu (Scroll down to see how to enter the service menu)
- Water Sensor
- Part #WH04X35737 – Water Level Sensor
- If you start a quick cycle load for example when it gets to the draining part not working, you can manually unscrew the drain pump filter at the bottom of the machine SLOWLY to release enough water for the cycle to continue. If that is working, then your sensor is working correctly
- Replace the Main Power Control Board
- Part #WH22X35701 – Main Power Control Board
- If you don’t want to replace the board you can test the drain relays at location K13 and K5
- The board has a coat of some sort of epoxy so grinding the glue away will need to carefully be done if you do any desoldering. I used a dremel tool with a metal brush for 3-5 seconds per solder bead.
- Testing the DLB relay at K1 is also a good one to test as that handles safety for the drain pump
- If there are issues with the tested parts, then replace the board or the faulty relays
- Run a drain test from the service menu (Scroll down to see how to enter the service menu)
- The inverter board is not related to the drain pump so I bought that for nothing, but I have it in case of future problems I guess. I don’t recommend replacing that part if draining is an issue

Here is a Control Panel Board (0021800502) found on eBay if I ever need that part:

Troubleshooting process
Update: 02/27/25
I replaced the Inverter board and had the same issue still not draining. I then replaced the pump and same issue. If I manually drain the pump during the wash cycle the unit will continue running the wash but I don’t want to stand there all day. After some more digging I found out about the Main Power Control Board. I saw this board and didn’t think much about it but after seeing beneath the plastic casing I realized this is the board that has all the control relay for controlling different motors and functions of the washer/dryer. This is the same problem I had with the Samsung Washer I fixed from this post: Samsung WF448AAP/XAA Washer Repair – Fabozzi’s Compiled Knowledge
I also was suspecting the water level sensor but since I can manually drain the water and the cycle continues, I think the sensor might be OK or that would not work. Guessing game at this point.
So, I have ordered the main power control board and am hopeful that is the issue. I bet the relay went out on it. I will post more after installing the replacement. fingers crossed!! Here is what the main power control bard looks like:

Update: 03/10/25
The new board has been installed, and it worked however after about 4 loads it is not draining again. 🙁
I was looking over the old board and testing all relays related to the drain pump and they all tested good. I am a bit stumped now at what the issue could be. I ordered another board to try again but in the meantime I am going to snake the drain hose from the pump because if that gets clogged it can cause no draining and shutdown of the machine. Also I will probably pull and test all the relays on the board just for giggles to see if any of the other relays may be causing a fault. If you choose to do this there is a sort of epoxy coating on the board that I had to carefully grind away with a dremel tool to expose the solder.
Update: 3/11/25
I disassembled the machine down to the pump and this time I looked in the drain hose and it was blocked with lint. Upon further inspection it turns out there was a soda can tab in the drain which was catching the lint and blocking the line. This explains the issues I was having. So, if you have this issue be sure to check your drain hose first. I guess I have some spare parts laying around now just in case.

Service Menu
Power unit off then press and hold Play/Pause, Smart Dispense Detergent, and Timed Dry buttons till the unit turns on.

The menu takes a few seconds to load but when the ring is all lit up the select button and arrows will be available. Between the red circles is the ring lighting up:

Select and arrow buttons are now available when the ring light goes out:

The paper folds out to about the size of a poster so I did what I could to stich the photos together. If you have a question about a section let me know and I can get better details.
